Stories - Reimagined and Repurposed
Reimagined structures & repurposed materials.
Driven by a desire to salvage, Ruffwood’s architectural style is defined by reclaim.
From the restoration of the old 1820’s Shady Dale schoolhouse to the reuse of old retired 18 wheeler reefer and dry van trailers for living and storage places, it is not a stretch to say Ruffwood is defined by, and in many ways defines, reclaim. If that wasn’t enough, imagine architecting two pole barn style buildings - the up and coming clubhouse and “picklebarn” - from the salvaged metal of two local rebuilt car wash locations, an old Georgia Pacific plant redo in Monticello, and the old Shady Dale water tower. That’s just the beginning of it. Then there are the seven vintage tractors - two functioning - but all purposeful.
